I finally found it

I finally found my camera cord so I can upload photos, so the last 4 entries on my blog are new. I've been going thru my house like crazy, getting stuff ready for my yard sale on Saturday. A lot of things have been turning up.

Autumn Harvest

Look at all these cute tiny pumpkins
I didn't plant these in my garden, they grew there on their own. Yay, free pumpkins. 65 of them.
So cute!! I love Autumn...it's my fav.

My baby girl's 13th birthday

Jordyn always wants a German Chocolate Cake, YUMMY one of my Favs too.
Make a good wish Jordyn...it'll come true because she blew them all out.

Tall Corn

I love it when they plant corn behind our house, it looks so cool in the Fall. It's so much better to look at, then someone's house.

Finally after 4 years of waiting, we are getting our shed
Look at my big strong men. I love to watch other people work!
Another plus, is that it blocks the view to the neighbors yard from our deck.
Adding on a covered side thingy, to park the boat under.

Yahoo, I can't wait 'til its done. We can get some junk out of our garage.

New Fridge Magnet Gadget

I just found this new gadget on pyzam.com, it's pretty cool. If you want to upload it, choose auto upload method to blogger, when it comes up with the code on your html, you'll probably have to change the width (inside the code) from 300 to 225 to get it to fit in your sidebar. It took me 2 hours to figure out how to reduce the size. It's a lot of fun.

Soft and Chewy Sugar Cookies

Soft and Chewy Sugar Cookies
2 large eggs
2 tsp pure vanilla
3 cups granulated sugar
2 sticks unsalted butter, room temp.
1/2 cup sour cream
cream eggs, sugar, then add vanilla, butter and sour cream and mix again
then add dry ingredients
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
4 cups all-purp. flour, leveled
mix well, then spoon or use a small ice cream scoop onto an ungreased pan. Sprinkle with sugar. bake at 350 deg. for 10-14 min. they should be cracking on top.
This is another one of my favorite recipes. It turns out great everytime. NOTE: try to use unsalted butter. You can use salted butter, but you'll have to reduce the salt you add by ???
I've never had these frosted, because they're so good plain, but I'm sure they'd be tasty. Have you ever had a soft sugar cookie that you could barely choke down, because they're so dry...well here's the solution.

Awesome Summer Recipe

I found this great recipe on Recipeczar.com. I love that website because they have tons of great recipes and they're rated by the people who try them. Anyway I just tried the recipe for myself and it's sooo delicious.

Here it is....use up those Zucchinis from your garden, if you don't have any I can share, we seem to get one every 3-5 days or so.

Zucchini Bars

3 Eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup canola oil
2 cups peeled and shredded zucchini
3 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Frosting:

1/2 cup (1 cube) butter, room temp.
1 tsp. vanilla
3 oz. cream cheese, room temp.
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
milk as needed

This is more like a cake, not a bar, but I put it in a 10x13 cake pan. Next time, I might put it in a cookie sheet pan, so they're thinner. But this way was great! Bake 350
