Back to business

Back to school, after the long break. Yay, it was fun while it lasted, but I'm so happy that the rugrats are back in school. My house stays so much cleaner. Me and the little one are having fun, she's bowling on the Wii. Yesterday she got a score of 201, pretty good for a 4 yr old.

Fun with ducks

Mikes friend has been giving us old bread, tons of it...so i've been taking my girls to a park about a mile from here to feed the ducks and geese. It took them about 45 min. last time to get rid of all the bread. It's a great free activity.

Jordyn is the duck whisperer...when she's done feeding them, she says "That's all, thats everything and they turn and walk away.

Miss Ky sits on the hood of the van to feed them, cuz one bit her. So now shes afraid of them.

Heather has a goose that loves her and chases her all around the park. I'd hate to be a jogger in this park, cuz there's poop everywhere. We have to do the poop check before we get in the van. But its fun.

First Presidency Christmas Devotional

We were able to go to the Temple Square Conference Center tonight and watch the Christmas Devotional, it was so much fun. Each one of the First Presidency spoke of Christmas, it was wonderful. We're so lucky to live so close to the Conference Center, so we can experience these wonderful events. The weather was warm and beautiful, I think it was the calm before the storm tomorrow.

Yum Turkey, I Wish...

We had chili dogs for Thanksgiving, what did you have???

Yum, Yum chili dogs and french fries. Why did we have chili dogs and french fries...well,

The plan was we were going to go to Southern Idaho, with Mike's brother to cut down a Christmas Tree, then we were going to go to a restaurant (i know, weird to go to a restaurant, but it was his bro's idea) well It took too long to get the tree and we didn't get back to Logan until 6pm, but by then it was a GHOST Town there was not a restaurant or a store open.

So we just bought some hot dog buns at walmart in Clinton on our way home. We had a ton of fun getting the tree though (we do that every year) maybe next time, not on Thanksgiving. The teenagers were a bit moody about not having thanksgiving dinner, but I think it's kind of funny. You just have to laugh about life, ya know?

It went down like this, I was looking at paint samples so I could repaint my dining room wall. Mike and Kylie were over by the paint counter being thrifty, asking the girl if she had any paint that was mixed wrong that he could get at a discount. He was at the right place at the right time. It was so funny. I wasn't planning on getting any free paint...but the Supervisor insisted, so I had to stand there and pick out a color. So I hope I picked a good one. I thought they would just give us the Home Depot brand, but she gave us the most expensive Ralph Lauren brand...so now I feel really SPECIAL to be able to use such nice paint. I told my husband "Thanks for standing in the right place" it was really lucky actually cuz all the paint came off of them. When we went up to the front counter to pay for the other stuff we bought, I was telling the checker that the paint was 1 cent (they had to give it a price) . She's says (in her cute russian accent)" why is it only 1 cent?" and I said because they sprayed my husband and child with paint, and she says to everyone around..."the worker in the paint department "SPRAY PAINTED" these people with paint, so they're getting this paint for free"

Mike's cousin

Now this is really sad, as many of you know my husband Mike is a police officer. Yesterday he got a call to a drowned 36yr old man. So they went to the house and took the man out of the tub and started doing cpr on him. After they got him out of the tub, Mike noticed it was his cousin Adam. So they started working on him, shocked his heart and everything, but he died. He didn't actually drowned. They think he died from a brain anurism. He had brain cancer and has finished radiation and chemo, but recently he said he'd been having huge headaches, so he had an appointment to get another MRI next week, but it wasn't in time. I guess it was his time to go, but it's sad. This is mikes 5th cousin to die, all on the Wilson side. Its kind of sad that Mike had to see him that way, but it was nice that it was Mike, so that he could call his family and tell them. This cousins parents, just happened to come home last Friday, from their mission in New York, so that the mom could go through Cancer treatment for her thyroid.
