What are we going to do with that girl...today we got a call from her jr. high. It was the resource officer calling and I thought...My sweet Jordyn is in trouble??? See I'm used to phone calls for Ty, but never for Jordyn. But he was actually calling because she dislocated her knee again, right in the class room. All she was doing was hopping up on a stool. So we hurried over there and she was freaking out, it was still dislocated. She was shaking so hard that, I thought she was going to hyperventalate. We calmed her down and talked her into pulling her kneecap back on. Since I've had my knee dislocated, I totally know how bad it hurts and how she feels. But I also know that the longer the kneecap is off, the more rehab you need. When I dislocated mine, I was on crutches for 6 weeks, because me kneecap was off for at least an hour. Anyway, we took her up to the doctor, luckily we got her right in to a specialist. He said she has to wear a full knee immobilizer for 3 weeks, then a smaller one for 6 weeks. He wants to do surgery if it does it again. The surgery would only be kind-of a 1/2 surgery to tighten the side-to-side muscles. Or we can wait it out for 18 months until she's done growing to do the up and down muscles too. I don't know what we're going to do. Poor Girl

GOOD TIMES

After a very long day Monday...I thought I would tuck myself into bed and watch a little T.V....silly me.
Jordyn comes upstairs and said
"Hey Mom, do you want to come and help us clean up the water in the bathroom downstairs?"

What water? I say "Oh, Tyler "FORGOT" that he left the water on in the sink and it flooded all over the floor."

He says it was only on for about 20 minutes, but I don't know about that, it took about 10 towels, and my hoover water vac to suck it all up.

The drawers were filled with water and the stuff under the sink was all soaked. I amazed myself how calm I was...sometimes I think I do better with the bigger catastrophes.

Tyler's new nickname is "NOAH" Oh, and I'm glad he didn't "FORGET" and leave the water on before leaving the house for the Easter weekend. By the way, how come Mike is always at work when things happen???

A blustery Day

Wow, that was a crazy... windy trip to St. George! The wind tossed our van around like a toy.

The wind was blowing from the south and west, so we got super crappy gas mileage, and our lungs are full of dust...

now I know why in Arab lands, they wear their clothing over their faces. Then in a mountain pass just before Fillmore, we hit a huge bizzare blizzard that only lasted a few minutes.

And Kylie only asked "are we there yet" 37 times.

Remembering the best Vacation Ever

Whenever I walk by the coffee grinder in Walmart or Target...I'm instantly

taken

back to the Vacation of all Vacations....I know you're not suppose to drink coffee, but It's okay to inhale deeply when walking by.

The best vacation ever was in 1988 or 1989, I can't recall which (without digging out the old pictures)

But the year isn't important.

My sisters and I were in "LOVE" with Johnny Depp on 21 Jumpstreet and we

knew they filmed the show in Vancouver British Columbia, so we decided to

take a road trip, like a bunch of groopies. Our Mom was so cool, instead of saying no, she said she would come with.

So we loaded up the tent and recorded some tunes off the radio onto cassette tapes

and headed off on an adventure.

We'd never been to Canada, and we had not idea what to expect or

where we would stay, but those vacations are always the best.

When we got there we found the coolest campgound, located right at the

base of the Lion's Gate Bridge, you could hear horns and clanking all night, but

it was awesome. The air was crystal clear, for being a pretty big city and the views

we're amazing.

Other vacations have come and gone, but this one will always remain with me.

Oh, and we never did see Johnny Depp, but that didn't matter either.

What is your pet peeve?

Here's one of mine...I was at walmart yesterday, checking out ...AND I stepped over by the spinney thingy to load the sacks in my cart and the next guy and his wife in line took my place in line. The checker wasn't even done with all my groceries. So, I had to stand at the end by my cart the rest of the time. When I swiped my card...he was standing right next to me, shoulder to shoulder. I thought he would get the hint, when I covered up my pin # with my hand, but he didn't move at all. In fact, when the clerk got the receipt, she handed it to him, and he pointed to me. Talk about annoying, that drives me crazy. There wasn't anyone in line in back of them either, so I don't know why they had to crowd right up next to me. Grocery stores need to have a red line on the floor for the next person waiting to stand behind that says "Please wait here, for your turn" Sometimes I wish I was from New York, they know how to tell people what they think.

That was a lot of fun to go to the movies on the spur of the moment with my sisters. We went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was a cute movie, but more fun cuz I was with my sisters.
